Entanglement in spin chains

I will discuss the entanglement in condensed mattersystems close to a quantum critical point. I will present explicit resultsfor a class of exactly solvable models in one dimension.Entanglement can be classified in the framework of scaling theory. Thereis a profound difference between classical correlations and thenon-local quantum correlation, entanglement: the correlation lengthdiverges at the phase transition, whereas entanglement in generalremains short ranged. I will present also some results related to thedynamics of entanglement in spin chains.
